0n Gratitude

Sometimes we all have bad days.  I don’t know about you, but when I’m having a not so good day I tend to drift into feeling sorry for myself.  Negative thoughts seem to swirl around in my head, drowning out all else.  In the midst of such a “oh poor me” day last week a friend sent me the link to the video below on the topic of wonder and gratitude from the TED Talk by Louie Schwartzberg.

For those of you who aren’t familiar with the TED talks, they are sponsored by a nonprofit organization devoted to “ideas worth spreading.”  TED stands for Technology, Entertainment and Design.  Started in 1984 with the objective of spreading the best in innovative ideas and concepts, TED sponsors two annual conferences as well as other projects.  I have yet to watch a TED video and not feel challenged and inspired.

The link my friend sent me was a true gift – shaking me out of my lethargy and self-pity and inspiring me to refocus on what I am truly grateful for and what I hope to do to spread the blessings I have been granted.  I hope you enjoy the talk as much as I did (it’s about 20 minutes long).  I will, as always, be curious to hear your thoughts.
